AWA Logistics handles special cargo through the Port of Long Beach’s SSA/Pier A terminal recently - power generators headed to the Tutuila in the US Territory of American Samoa. The generators were moved through the Port on their way to the Tafuna Facility at the American Samoa Power Authority and will help power the island, which is home to approximately 55,000 residents. The shipment is a culmination of nearly 7 months of coordination between the clients, terminal operator, vessel owners and shipping partners SWIRE and ICS - Island Cargo Support.
